Marta ran down the street, her head downwards so she wouldn't be recognized. Honestly, Kiara had been smart to buy the big hoodie. She had no problem going out; she just hid her face beneath that massive hood. Marta pushed a few people, just for the fun of it, then dodged into the alley where the two lived.

"Home sweet home." She said, as she always did upon entering. Truthfully, she hated it. She only acted like it was good to keep Kiara's spirit up. Kiara wasn't the wanted one, at least that's what she thought.

Kiara was sweeping when Marta came running in, yelling about leaving because Aunt Kathy was dead. Kiara didn't have to be told twice, although she did wonder about Kathy's demise. Was it Foul play? She literally threw her broom out the window, then running after her sister.

"So, how'd she die?" She asks, upon catching up with Marta.

Marta looked nervous, then replying very quickly. "Heart attack, I think."

Kiara would have questioned her sister's suspicious behavior, but decided against. It was nice that her evil aunt was gone.

Joint Bio:
Marta and Kiara lived in San Fransisco, with their mom, Alisha, for ten years. That is, until Kiara turned ten, Marta only eight. On that day, Alisha was on a plane, flying back from Tennessee from a business trip. Something happened to the pilot- Marta and Kiara don't know-, crashing the plane into a field. There were no survivors. At this, the sisters were whisked off to live with their next legal parent\guardian: Their Aunt Kathy.

Now Aunt Kathy hated children, especially her sister's. She hated her sister from a long ago argument they had. So when Kiara and Marta came to stay, she wanted to send them off to boarding school, or to an orphanage. She didn't have the money and\or time to do so, so she just made them servants.

Kiara submitted , being less outgoing, but Marta couldn't stand it. She rebelled like crazy, and on impulse, she made the bad judgement in tact to kill her aunt. The two ran away, unable to remain in that state.

Kiara and Marta made to New York City when Kiara was 15, and Marta 13. They wandered the streets for a good bit, then they ended up at camp.

Laura is very emotional, and she is too loyal. Also, Laura never thinks before she peaks and is very prideful.
Powers(must relate to god parent; optional):
Laura can create an orb of sunlight 3 times a day. The largest the orb can be is about the size of a basketball. The orbs can only blind people and animals temporarily. People are blinded for a minute at the most, depending on how big the orb is and how tired Laura. The orbs have to hit the person for it to work, so they can dodge. If she uses this power three times, she will become very tired and pass out. She also has to wait at least ten minutes before using this power again.

Laura also has some very minor healing powers. She can heal at the most a four inch cut, not poisoned. She can do this five times a day, and depending on how much her power is used she will be tired.

Both powers will effect how tired she is, depending on how much times she uses them and the size.
Life Before CHB:
Laura(unlike most of my charries) led a normal life. Her mother, a florist who had singing talent, took care of her and treated the girl nicely. However, they weren't the richest people in the world and lived in a three room apartment, Laura sleeping in what was a larger closet.

Laura, unlike most demigods, is not dyslexic. In fact, she used to be hypolexic, the opposite of dyslexia. It means that she was a bit weird, and also loved to read. In fact, when she got to camp, many people thought that she was a child of Athena.

When she was ten, monsters attacked briefly, although she lived very near Percy's home, meaning after Gabe was gotten rid of, they targeted his place. However, her mom was beginning to worry about her daughter, who had mysteriously burned a bully at the school.

Although Laura was a straight A student, she was expelled from lots of schools, ending up in Percy's first school after he had left. She was tormented by the same people who tormented Percy, especially Nancy Bobofit. Nancy, as it turned out, was actually an unusual Empousa. Rejected from her family, since she wasn't beautiful in human form, Nancy resorted to bullying her classmates, instead of devouring the demigods.

Laura finally was scented out by a satyr, when she was twelve. She was brought to camp, where she was claimed at age thirteen. She now lives in the Apollo cabin.
